How the Oslo Pass works

The Oslo Pass works very simply - from ordering to activation in Oslo.

  • 1

    Buy Oslo Pass

The Oslo Pass is available in three versions: 24 hours (approx. €45), 48 hours (approx. €66) or 72 hours (approx. €82). You have two purchase options:

Paper pass via Tiqets: You receive a voucher that you have to exchange for a physical pass in Oslo. Advantage: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before planned use.

Digital pass via Oslo Pass app: Fully digital use possible without a paper pass, but no cancelation.

Discounts are available for children/young people (6-17 years), senior citizens (67+) and students under 30 (20% discount only when purchasing on site).

    Download online voucher

Print out the online voucher or save it on your phone and take it with you to Oslo.

Important: The voucher is NOT a valid admission ticket and will be refused at attractions until it has been exchanged for a physical Oslo Pass.

  • 3

    Pick up your Oslo Pass

You can pick up your Oslo Pass at the Oslo Visitor Center in Østbanehallen, right next to Oslo Central Station. The center is open daily (contact: +47 23 10 62 00).

Upon presentation of your digital voucher, you will receive the physical Oslo Pass card and a travel brochure with information on all participating attractions.

This step is not necessary with the digital version via the app - the pass is ready to use immediately.

  • 4

    Activate Oslo Pass

For paper passes: The Oslo Pass is activated the first time it is used. You must note the date and time of first use on the back.

For the digital version: Activation directly in the Oslo Pass app before the first use by pressing the "Activate" button.

From the time of activation, the pass is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours. Example: Activation at 6 pm = valid until 6 pm the next/next day (not just until midnight).

Use your passport and make the most of the benefits

With the activated pass, you have free entry to over 30 attractions (e.g. Munch Museum, Akershus Fortress, Holmenkollen) and can use all public transport in zones 1-4 free of charge - including metro, streetcar, bus, regional trains and ferries to the Oslofjord Islands.

Additional benefits: Free city tours, outdoor swimming pools, 20% discounts at selected restaurants and discounts on various activities.

Each attraction can be visited once per day. For the digital version, simply show the QR code or use the daily "animation" in the app.
